On relationships and break ups

When I first started channeling it was quite by surprise. I have always been a writer, yet over time my writing developed into channeling. I did not recognize at first I was receiving “words” from a source other than my own mind/heart. As I continued to write about my own issues I found answers beyond my scope of reasoning made their way into my articles.

On Relationships and Break-Ups

We are attracted to lovers for many different reasons. Every relationship has some kind of Karma. Karma is a magnetic force of positive and negative vibrations. Each positive and negative vibration has a light side and a shadow side.

There are two categories of relationships. The first and most common is known as “Karmic relationship”. The Karmic relationship is one based on learning of harsh life lessons. These types of relationships can carry a love/hate feeling, be codependent and destructive. However the entire time you are growing into a stronger person. If you listen to your feelings and stay out of denial, your relationships can improve. Healing the pattern of Karmic relationships can be done through psychotherapy, self help books, 12 step meetings, and spiritual work.

The second kind of relationship is that of “Soulmate”. Within this person is a soul whom you have known through many of your past life times. This type of relationship is one of teamwork and completing energies.

Jung defined this theory in the human psyche known as the “anima” and “animus”. The animus is the masculine side of the female, and anima is the feminine side of the male.

Our world is based upon the theory of perception what you SEE is what you get. However beyond physical sight and beyond analytical thought there are the forces of Karma. The subconscious self creates the lessons that karma brings. (If you fear abandonment your subconscious will being you lessons of abandonment.)  A synchronicity between the magnetic forces of Karma and the occurrences in your life will teach you.

I believe we fall in love with the same person over and over again. The conflict comes in when we realize the person we are dating, is not the person were thought they were. We meet someone, whose traits we are attracted too, then we fill out the rest of the picture with traits we want to see in them.

My idea of the perfect man has changed a lot over the years. I started with a sketch of what I wanted and with each new relationship I paint a clearer picture. All along I was projecting my animus onto the man in my life. Even if my boyfriend exhibited unhealthy traits, I still saw the good parts of my animus in him.

All of my relationships have been Karmic. With each goodbye I was like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, with new sight. After a break up there is a mourning period, and a time for reflection. We must question the roles we played in the relationship. Where did our shadow take over, and in what ways? We must learn from each goodbye or we are doomed to repeat it.

Relationships open new doors in our consciousness. It is our goals to open as many as possible. To accept and heal our shadow self so that our anima or animus is healthy. When the anima is healthy, and the feminine is balanced then, there can be an alchemical or sacred marriage between the two selves. The two selves join to make the person whole. This person can now wield the best of their masculine and feminine selves.

Shakespeare on Shadows:

The play itself ends with Puck’s monologue, conciliatory for the moment, but vested with warning lest future disturbances require his remedy:

If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended:
That you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear;
and this weak and idle theme, no more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend, if you pardon, we will mend.
and, as I am an honest Puck, if we have unearned luck
now to scape the serpent’s tongue we will make amends ere long,
else the Puck a liar call. So good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
and Robin shall restore amends. (V.i.409-424; emphasis added)

In the alchemical work, “Mercurius, called Hermes, is not only the receptacle of the prima materia and the symbol for it, he is also the agent of transformation” (Singer 100).

In alchemy, Jung proposes that the prima materia refers to the “unknown substance that carries the projection of the autonomous psychic content” (Psychology and Alchemy 317), which is as yet undifferentiated, but through the alchemical process will be broken down and distilled into the philosopher’s gold, the goal of the work. Mercurius acts as a symbol for the alchemical transformation by virtue of his dual nature, as the prima materia embodies all the opposites together, yet in chaos

Alchemy is called the “Hermetic Art”, a secret or occult practice, named after the legendary founder of alchemy, Hermes Trismegistus the “thrice greatest Hermes”. The alchemist’s goal was to experiment with physical substances to transform base metal into gold. The philosopher’s stone was the agent which would enable this to occur. The aim was not real material gold but philosophical gold, concerned not only with the transformation of inanimate matter but with their own spiritual transformation.

Jung believed that alchemy stood as the ‘Shadow’ in compensatory relationship to Christianity. Christianity’s one-sided dogma and inability to unite the opposites had alienated us from our natural roots in the unconscious. Alchemy extracts the shadow from sunlight and the sun ray from its shadow. The philosophers stone is produced by the unity of divine opposites, the sphere of divine unwillingness, non-being, death and the sphere of divine will, being and life. The sun and the shadow rotate casting their opposites; the God, Dionysius, sun’s Shadow, killing and dismembering the alchemist (I kill and make alive), and the sun God, Apollo, raising the alchemist to eternal life (I wound and heal).

“This gold is our male, and it is sexually joined to a more crude white gold — the female seed: the two together being indissolubly united, constitute our fruitful Hermaphrodite.” – Philalethes

When I was with Chris (1993), I told him something in my sleep- “Gold is Gold, Water is Water- know the difference.”

This is the end of that “article” written for my own health and sanity.

I have drawn conclusions that through Jungian Theory of the Anima/Animus we can go beyond duality, in fact heal duality and become ONE which leads to Philosophical, Spiritual, or Alchemical Gold. Through out History Alchemical Gold has been sought by the rich, powerful and the genius. Masons, Buddhist, Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt all speak of this Gold. I feel today we have replaced Spiritual Gold with “Bling”- it’s enough to make an Occultist want to cry and throw a fit. But I keep going- looking for the actual goal, the REAL Gold.. the love that heals and empowers all.
